The recently opened ITC Grand Chola in Chennai with its 600 key capacity, 1,00,000 sq ft of banqueting and convention space with 30,000 sq ft of pillar less ballroom amongst the largest in the country, is all set to make Tamil Nadu as a major MICE destination.
Philippe Charraudeau, Vice President & General Manager of ITC Grand Chola said, “The ITC Grand Chola is ITC’s tribute to Tamil Nadu and an iconic asset for Chennai, as an archetype of the culture and ethos of the region. The grandeur and unique attributes of the hotel will provide a boost to the hospitality sector in Chennai in addition to transforming Chennai into India’s convention capital.”
The hotel’s 10 food and beverage destinations include Peshawri and Pan Asian in addition to the introduction of two new brands from ITC, Royal Vega - showcasing grand vegetarian cuisine from the royal kitchens of India, and Ottimo – Cucina Italiana, among others. The hotel also houses one of the largest spas in the state with over 23,000 square feet of space, the Kaya Kalp from The Royal Spa a signature spa brand from ITC. The hotel is equipped with a luxury retail space and a theatre, Kalai, which can be used for special and private previews with a seating capacity of 45.
